Innotime Hungary's development won an international innovation award
The I-DEST platform, developed and operated by Innotime Hungary Kft., won the Skålité International Awards for Tourism Innovation. The award was presented to Nagy Júlia CEO Andrés O. Hayes, World President of Skål International, on October 25, 2026, in Istanbul.
The work of Innotime Hungary was awarded with international professional recognition: our self-developed platform, I-DEST became the Travel Industry Innovation Award category winner of the first international Skålité Awards. The award was presented at a gala event held at the InterContinental Hotel in Istanbul.
A jury of experts from five countries evaluated the applications.
This year marks the first time in the history of the Skålité Awards, founded by Skål International Istanbul in 1998, that an international competition has been announced.
The entries were evaluated by a five-member, independent international jury, which included: Turkey, Mexico, Germany, Thailand and the United States The applications were scored based on criteria defined for each category, and the results were summarized by the general secretariat of Skål International.
Recognition of I-DEST Nagy Júlia, CEO of Innotime Hungary Kft., personally received it from Andrés O. Hayes, World President of Skål International.
A digital solution from tourism experience
Our company's work is closely linked to destination management, data-driven planning and sustainable tourism. We are also building on these areas in the development of I-DEST: We create tools that support the everyday tasks of tourist areas and service providers.
Running a destination requires up-to-date information, collaborative service providers, trackable goals, and measurable results. Meanwhile, guests are looking for information that is easily accessible, understandable, and tailored to their needs.
I-DEST connects these needs. The platform provides comprehensive support for the digital management of destinations, from background data management and monitoring to presentation of tourism offerings and travel planning.
Data and sustainability in everyday decisions
For destination management, the platform helps organize information, track performance, and interpret guest feedback. These tools can help ensure that development decisions are based on the situation and experiences of the given region.
Sustainability is also part of our operations. Self-assessment and monitoring functions support the exploration of the starting point, the definition of development tasks and the tracking of progress. The presentation of the steps taken also provides an opportunity for local actors and guests to learn about the region's aspirations.
Tourism service providers can connect with the destination's offerings with a multilingual appearance, while also using opportunities to help evaluate their operations. Travelers' orientation is supported by route planning and personalized recommendations. Artificial intelligence also plays a role in trip planning and guest review analysis.
A standalone destination website can also be created
The use of I-DEST can be adapted to the goals of the given region. From the platform a separate destination website can also be created, so the content managed in the background can also serve the region's own tourism website.
Another option is to appear on i-dest.com. On this platform, we present the sustainability efforts, concrete steps and initiatives of many destinations and attractions. Introducing yourself on the common page is one of the many uses of the platform.
Joint work, international recognition
The Skålité International Award is an important professional feedback for Innotime Hungary. It is especially valuable for us that our development was evaluated by a jury representing the experience of several continents and selected as the winner of the tourism innovation category of the first international competition.
