Innotime Pentecost – 3 locations, 3 local values
Innotime Hungary Kft. is not only working at the desk to ensure that the value system of sustainable tourism is present in the thinking of domestic guests and local communities, but also from time to time, through specific programs, it presents in a focused way what sustainability means. During the Pentecost weekend, we will shed light on what sustainable tourism product development means, building on local resources, creating a unique USP, and not targeting mass tourism.
Bodrogkeresztúr: thematic tour in the footsteps of the Wolkensteins
The Wolkenstein family played a prominent role in the history of the settlement for centuries – yet, after World War II, they were forgotten by the locals. Over the past year, our company’s managing director, Nagy Júlia, has been working on the exploration of the family’s history as a nobleman based on library and archival research, and is researching any local connections that may still be found, in cooperation with several local helpers.
The last landlord couple in Bodrogkeresztúr got married on May 20, 1904 – the thematic tour commemorates this and the World War I hero Oszwald Wolkenstein Jr., who was born in Bodrogkeresztúr 155 years ago this year.
The program
- strengthens the identity of the local community
- reveals local values that can be used to create a unique USP in the long term
- provides a basis for the development of new tourism products for local businesses
- draws attention to the natural values that once and still determine the image of the settlement
- Through the program, it also seeks to participate in shaping visitors' sustainability attitudes.
Parádsasvár - Dumasasvár: presentation of values based on the geology of the Mátra Mountains in the center
The programs require prior registration. Details and registration: https://dumaszinhaz.hu/garazssasvar/
The Dumaszínház team has been advertising the Pentecost Parádsasvár programs for weeks now. In connection with this, we have tried to compile and provide small group programs that present the natural values of the region in a unique way:
- Gyula Bózsó, the ambassador of the forests, will present on a thematic tour what edible treasures are hidden in the forests of the Mátra, and we can also choose from the „Mátra Pantry” in the framework of a mushroom and herb presentation program. These treasures will also be served on the table at the thematic dinner related to the program, courtesy of the Parádi Kisvendéglő.
- It is of utmost importance for our company to draw attention to the domestic drinking water resources in as many ways as possible, as we often see that the domestic population consumes water brought here from Switzerland, Italy, and France in their everyday lives. In connection with the Dumasasvár program, a unique water tasting program will also take place, where Péter Prakfalvi, geologist of the Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark, will present the waters of the Mátra in an interactive program, where we can taste the waters during the presentation, and Péter will also point out the health effects of these waters.
- A particularly important goal is to provide opportunities for the producers of local products to introduce themselves - as part of this, a fantastic pálinka presentation will also take place during the three-day event.
Tamási - Honey Pentecost in connection with World Bee Day
The DámPont Visitor Center's Whitsun program is centered on bees and honey in connection with World Bee Day on May 20. Raising awareness of the topic is particularly important, as the bee population has been decreasing in recent years, but without them, there would be famine in the world, as they not only provide the honey that many people love, but also play a huge role in pollinating plants. This is what the DámPont Ecotourism Visitor Center's program series draws attention to, which is also implemented with the involvement of local producers, presents local natural values related to the topic and also participates in community building, within the framework of which a giant bee will be drawn on the asphalt of the visitor center's parking lot with the participation of children and families who come here.
